I've been using Plogger since last fall and I've found it to be easy and fantastic overall. There's some things I would like to see as it's more fully developed, but I'm very happy with it so far. I have run into one odd, tweaky problem and I've searched through the boards, but haven't found a solution that seems to help with this issue, so I'm hoping someone fairly wise might have some input. I am running Plogger 3. I've been testing with Firefox v 2.0.0.12, and through IE6 within Google's RSS reader.
My Main gallery is at http://www.ourmess.net/gallery/ . When I attempt to subscribe to the feed there (http://www.ourmess.net/gallery/plog-rss.php?level=collection&id=0), nothing returns on the RSS page. When I run it through http://feedvalidator.org/, FeedValidator returns it as being a legit RSS feed. Neither Google Reader nor Firefox see anything, and from the documentation it is my understanding that the RSS link on the top page is supposed to reflect any changes to any album on the site.
However, when I go to ANY of the sub galleries and try to subscribe, that does work. It gives me a feed (though for some bizarre reason, FireFox Live Bookmarks still says it's empty, but it shows up fine on the page and in the Google Reader). When I test them (Example: http://www.ourmess.net/gallery/plog-rss.php?level=collection&id=1) at FeedValidator, I get errors saying that this isn't a valid feed and that the first URL link is invalid (though the other links are identical to it with the exception of the number of the picture and aren't erroring). This is consistant with any one of the feeds that -do- return results.
So.... if anyone has any suggestions as to why this might be, and how to fix the issue where I can't get an RSS feed off the -top level- of the gallery, I'd greatly appreciate it.
