I've seen enough users on here having issues with 1&1 to think that it's due to the amount of ram they're likely issuing. Since I started using them one week ago they've had a major SQL outage for one day and now finding it's tough to get much out the SQL databases when it comes to uploading pics. Is there a way to change the amount of time it takes for pics to upload or sequence in the manage? If there was a timer that showed uploading instead of an instant Error 500 that the pics aren't available then I'm sure it would rectify the issue. Has anyone else found a work around for slow servers like 1&1 hosting? One of the plogger mods mentioned AJAX sequencing for uploading the pics but I'm not sure if that was ever done.

PS I Don't recommend anybody to use 1&1 hosting despite their low prices because you don't get a solid product for what you pay for. I am really not impressed with their hosting at all. When the SQL went down and I asked if they could give me a temp SQL table or something else until they fixed it they told me only 1 SQL table per developer package and if I wanted I would have to upgrade to a dedicated server. I asked the tech why the hell would I want to upgrade my service when the one I'm already paying for isn't even working?
