    Is there any way to eliminate the "collections" directory level, so that on the default index page just displays all of the "albums"?

    Just link directly to the album page you want to use, that is the only work-around for now.

    There is a switch statement for galleries, collections, albums, pictures and slideshows in gallery.php. If you find it, and change the "collections" case to (a) set the collection to 1 (or maybe 0) and the level to "collection", you should be able to have it default to the first collection.

    Hey ddejong, can you provide some more specific directions for this for those of us noobies to Plogger? I'm trying to hack into it and figure it out for myself, but it's a little difficult. This is exactly what I need to do, but I'm a t a loss...
