I've been working with beta 3 for a bit now, and this is a theme I designed for my wife's web site. I hope you enjoy the site/template as much as I enjoy Plogger!
Yeah, I was trying to get my lightbox theme out before anyone else, but a couple of people beat me to it. :-( Oh well. I also use a script called 'Link Indicator' from http://serennz.cool.ne.jp/sb/sp/linkindicator/ It is subtle, but I like that it shows that the large thumbnails are going to open up in the "lightbox".
How do you like the theme building system? Is there anything about it you find counter-intuitive? Any features missing from the system that prevent you from creating that killer template? Let us know!
Overall I found the theme building system to be great. I had been looking at a few other galleries and that was the one thing Plogger 2.x seemed to be missing, so I'm glad I stumbled upon beta 3.
I think the best thing to do to improve on the theme building system is to provide some kind of developer's guide or "API" document that explains the functions and how they are intended to be used. Now, I wouldn't expect something like that for an unsupported beta release of course, but once the release is ready it would go a long way to helping out any theme builders out there.
I'm going to be working on another theme for my own site now, so I'll keep you posted on my findings.
