Just thought I'd kick off this category with a few really cool examples of what can be done with Plogger. These examples struck me as great demonstrations of how Plogger can really drop into any site. Pay particular attention to how the last two links modified the code to change Plogger's look and behavior.

Man, thats what I am talking about.
Plogger fits to simple sites much better than anything else. with no funky features, it makes some sense for the personal gallery type.

And Shep, you are showing off a nice example there.
Lets see some more integration examples.

I'm working on it, I'm working on it! ;) And gangavalli, I agree: it's looks so clean it can be intregrated very nicely into any site. And Shep and Hahmed (http://www.hahmed.com/blog/plogger/) show some nice examples. Hahmed even showed how it can look within an wordpress blog.

All the best Jack. We are all with you to make it better than the best, May be simple than the best?
yup i agree, http://www.hahmed.com/blog/plogger/ (this guy did a very good job)

But its integration into wordpress just like we do in site right?
I mean is he using it as a plugin or a seperate component and calling it?
Dont tell me its the wordpress plugin that I am waiting for, I dont want to be the last one to know that its out. I believe Ryan didnt release it yet.

I don't think the plugin is out yet. That would be BIG news, and I'm waiting for that as well :). How about it Ryan? Do we have to wait for version 1 of will it also be available as a beta?

By the way, is your own site ready for showing gangavalli?

About my own site, its not ready to show off yet jack. Me and my friend are working on it. Very soon i'll tell you guys what exaclty it is. I am really proud to power it by plogger and is one of my long awaited projects. I wasted lot of time customizing a commercial image script. When I finally saw plogger, I thought this is it. It is defenitely going to be great for all of you here. But jack dont be jealous on my plogger site when i show it to you :-P

Anyway, you guys deserve to take all its credit.
Good Luck with your efforts jack.

I didn't notice Sheps site is also a wordpress site :)

Shep, how did you do it? It looks as if you installed plogger in a parallel directory, next to wordpress? Or are you just calling for Plogger from within the same wordpress indexpage?

Looking at the adress bar of firefox I can see http://www.mikeschepker.com/plogger/ and http://www.mikeschepker.com/wordpress/

I am sure plogger is going to hit wordpress like no other gallery. I'm waiting to see that. Once the plugin is realesed, there is no turning back for the popularity. And Mike, you should also consider something to keep up with the installation and customization support in the forum as the community grows.

    Thanks alot David!!!

my simple effort, my friend who i built the site for just wanted a simple image gallery, so I stripped Plogger down to the simplest form I could. To fit in with the rest of the site i placed Plogger in a Iframe, this helps to keep file path correct and makes it easy to maintain

    goto media then pictures.
sorry i can't put in a direct link but everytime i try it puts my user name in the middle of the url.

"Simple", but it shows once more how nice Plogger can be integrated into any site and any layout with not too much trouble!

Would be great if Plogger would support movieclips and flash as well... :). Perhaps through custom linking to a static page?

I wasn't really asking for it Ben ;), just thinking (far) ahead. I can solve it right now by adding a static page within wordpress with thumbs just like Plogger :). Works good enough, and I don't have that many flash files.

Hi, I've got Plogger integrated with Wordpress here: http://www.croila.net/plogger . I tried Gallery2, Lazy Gallery, Singapore, and Plogger is the one I'll be sticking with as I think it's absolutely excellent. I reckon the admin control panel for Plogger is particularly good too.

I'm still not ready/satisfied with plogger on my personal website, but in the meantime I'm busy with helping out on a small festival about psychiatry (bringing 'normal' people and pyschiatric clients in contact with each other). The festival has just begun, I made the site with WordPress and I'm using Plogger for the images I'm receiving from participants and visitors.

If you click on "HET FESTIVAL IN BEELD" you can see the images.

With jack's help I've finally got plogger how I want it on my site. Getting it just took a little tinkering. This seems like the best gallery for wordpress. I've also tried Lazy-Gallery, simple php gallery, rumballery, Qdig, and none of them worked the way I wanted them to. Thanks Plogger (trying to sound like an infomrecial)

Any way here is my gallery

    <?php get_header(); ?>
<div class="ncol"><!-- Begin of the narrow column -->

    <?php the_gallery_head(); ?>

it took me ages to look for the lines of codes i need to change to make it look nice for this particular layout. hopefully, there'll be templates in the new release for easier layout creation. but in the meantime, plogger does what i want it to do (except for being html valid) so i'm not complaining. :)

Hi, found Plogger on Hotscripts after trying out quite a few "alternatives" that were either too simple or too complex, or that did not integrate well.
We're using Plogger for screenshots and wallpapers at our gaming site:

    1) I did it while trying to change something else, not intentionally.
    2) I see no mention anywhere about the link being "required"
    3) Some of the other examples here have removed the link, why single me out?
    *edit*
Anyway, as a vote of thanks, i've made a donation.

Bassman, thanks! There is no real obligation to keep the link-back, but as a general rule this is a the one thing you should keep in place for a free-software package.

    Mike,
No problem. I don't mind supporting quality scripts.
I've been using free/open-source scripts for quite a few years, and in most cases the authors either state clearly that the link back is "required", charge a licence fee to remove it, or don't care if you do. I appreciate that it's nice to keep the link intact. Our site is only a few weeks old and is still a work in progress, and I was intending to change the footer to include a "Powered By" area. It's on the list of things to do......

Well, finally I made the integration :). I only added a few albums at this moment (I have a total of about 60 albums I think), but the rest is ready and will be uploaded in the next few weeks. The link below is for the weblog, but on the right you can see the button "fotografie" and that will take you to the plogger page, so you can see how great plogger can be integrated.

    http://www.spoenk.nl/weblog/?m=200509

I see that somehow the paging doesn't look good. All the links (including the current page) are links. I can't get it right in the plog-functions file in the nightly from a week ago... And some translation still has to be done.

Just wanted to test it out with a phpBB format.

    http://www.arinamanta.com/members/index.php

Early days, but my problem is that I am running an older version of php on the server so will have to get around to doing some hacking to get it backwards compatible.

Anyway - looks nice - great script.

Only thing Im really waiting for is some kind ov "times viewed" and "sort by views" counter.

I really like this script. I'm very new to PHP and had significant help from Derek at the end, getting some irritating little formatting issues worked out... so it's mostly done. I'm pleased with it and so's my client. :)
