Themes: Simple theme changes

Im happy using one of the default themes that came with Plogger (namely the 'air' theme) but i ma wanting to alter a couple of small things.
Firstly, the text colour of the small text in the collection list section where it tells you how many images in the collection and shows the description for the collection.
The text colour of the individual image captions etc.
The text colour of the comment form (label text). etc etc
The footer is also coming out white, where the rest of the template comes through with my page background colour. I'd like to have the footer do the same.

Im using a dark background and I lose the text because of its dark colours. I've hunted for the correct place to change this but can't figure it out.
