In testing my site, when I right click on the large image preview and select "download image to disk" from the menu, I get an error message in my download manager telling me "file does not exist". I use a powermac G4 and Safari browser. Would this have anything to do with Cruft-Free URLs? Currently the .htaccess is not writable. What is a Cruft-Free URL anyway? Perhaps the large image previews are being generated from a virtual gallery rather than the actual image location. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    T2

It's strange that the browser would tell you an image doesn't exist when you are clearly looking at the file to be downloaded. I don't have any Apple equipment to test your problems though.

Have you tried turning off cruft-free URL's and then right-click downloading the image? If that worked, this would indicate that problem has to do with your rewrite rules.

BTW, cruft free URLs are simply rewritten clean urls for your gallery, for example:
    http://www.plogger.org/demo/index.php?level=pictures&id=5 can be rewritten as
    http://www.plogger.org/demo/travel/china/picture.jpg.

Well, keep in mind the large thumbnails are not the images themselves, which seems to be the problem -- clicking on the large thumb shows a 404.

Second, there is a problem with the hotlink variable having a spare /image/ that shouldn't be there. This may be the bug you're looking at. I'm not near a Plogger install at the moment, but finding the fix on the forums shouldn't be hard.

    Cheers,
    Derek
