    I'm getting the following errors while installing:

    - Cannot connect to MySQL with the information provided. MySQL error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
    - Couldn't find the database photodatabase. MySQL error: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysqldb' (111)

    I'm using ipowerweb for hosting. Maybe their servers won't allow this?

    I had problems with free hosting site, got errors aswell
    turned out that my mysql database, name and stuff were too long :P, so i made them shorter

    hmmm, i'll try with shorter username and password, but iPowerWeb is not a free hosting site. thx.

    You need to contact your webhost about that issue. You might check their knowledge base to see what their requirements are for database names, usernames and passwords are, as well as what they require for the database hostname. Some hosts don't use "localhost" for the database hostname.
