Hi, after searching the forum i have found some posts regarding multiple users, admins, etc. This is very interesting but based on the posts, it appears it isnt yet implemented. I am running the latest TRUNK and its not there.

What i am looking for is much simpler. I dont need multiple users, i am settting up the gallery for my friends site. I want him to be able to upload/delete/edit images but just dont want him to be able to mess up the configuration and/or change the theme. It seems like this would be a simple feature to implement (just require a 2nd password for those two pages) but i dont know how exactly. It seems much less involved than a multiple user gallery.

Also, i would like to request in future versions the ability to modify the display more than just with the css. like to be able to turn off the search box, asc, desc box, jump to box, etc for making a super simple gallery more insertable into the site. hiding it with css didnt work for me, i had to modify the php code.

    thanks

    mike

    Hi Mike,

How did you want to store the password? Did you want it in the SQL database or hard coded into the PHP files themselves?

Also, modifying the display is set up to have some options available via the Options page (downloads, comments, etc.), but Plogger is set up to use themes as well so users can customize their display as they see fit (you will have to edit some CSS and / or PHP to accomplish this). However, if you have your options set up with everything available, it's gets cumbersome very quickly. We've tried to make it easy (-ish?) to edit your own theme and to enable/disable a lot of the functions, but I don't know if all of them will be included in the future developments.

thanks for the info. the password could be stored in either place, its not a big deal either way because its such a simple thing. security isnt an issue cause i will be the only one with access to the web server.
