I have an existing Gallery2 installation, and I'd like to import everything from there into Plogger so I can play around with Plogger. Is there an easy way to do this? Manually reimporting and setting up my albums again will be a big project. Does anyone know offhand how some of the Plogger database tables might match up with the Gallery2 tables? Or is there a better solution? Thanks!

Import is something big on a list of things that should be done. I'd like to see importers for the larger competitors (Gallery 2, ZenPhoto, etc.) but it would probably be post 1.0 release. Maybe somebody from the community would be willing to help out?

Plogger should be able to import an existing folder structure by placing it within your upload folder. Those *should* be recognized and kept in that order. Other things such as details, name, etc would rely on an importer to be kept intact.

Ok, so I can grab everything from the albums folder in my Gallery2 data folder and throw it into the Plogger upload folder to get me started. Maybe once I see what ends up in the plogger database, I'll get a better idea of what to do from there :/

    Thanks for the info!

    Hi johnnyc -

How did things go with importing your images into Plogger? I'd be interested in hearing the steps you used to import everything over from Gallery2 to Plogger.
