General Support: Image Order and <title> Tags

I've just installed Plogger on my webserver, and I must say I'm impressed. After using it for a bit, I noticed a few things, but the forum doesn't seem to have the answers I'm looking for.

1) In my Plogger admin panel, I've set images to be sorted by filename ascending (my images are usually titled <name>_<sequential numbering>.jpg), yet their order does not change when I refresh the page or even create a new album with photos in it. I saw on another thread that there was a discrepancy between the thumbnail order and the order when you press the "Next" button, but as of now, my thumbnails don't sort themselves based on what my admin panel says.
2) I've settled on using cruft'ed URLs (ie. the cruft-free option is turned OFF), but my dynamic <title> tags seem to be broken on pages. I noticed that there's a link being posted with the solution of changing a line in "plog-load_config.php", but this doesn't work if I have cruft-free URLs turned off.

Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions?
