I've just tried to install Plogger to my website, but have got stuck really early in the process. I have successfully uploaded all files to a sub-dir of my site: www.pinkinccycling.com.au/Photos/ but when I try to navigate to www.pinkinccycling.com.au/Photos/_install.php, I receive the following error:
Fatal error: session_start() [<a href='function.session-start'>function.session-start</a>]: Failed to initialize storage module: user (path: /tmp) in /clientdata/clients/p/i/pinkinccycling.com.au/www/Photos/plog-globals.php on line 18
I've searched the forum and can't find anyone else who's had a similar problem. I'm sure I'm doing something really basic wrong, but I'm not a php guru. Could anyone please point me in the right direction? Thanks so much!
This means that your webhost most likely doesn't have php sessions configured properly on your server, as plogger is unable to find the directory /tmp. You need to contact them, give them the full details of this error, and have them correct the server issue.
