Perhaps for future development a couple of things could be considered
    1. An option to choose which image is used to display as a thumbnail against the collection and also against the album.
    2. An option to turn OFF an album or collection and not display it (without deleting it permanently)

I am very new to Plogger but it appears to me that neither of these options is easily available and I think both would be useful. What do others think?

You can already choose which thumbnail you want to display for a collection or an album. Go to the Manage tab, where you will see a list of the collections you have. On the right you will see 2 symbols - a piece of paper with a yellow pencil (Edit) and a red X (delete). Click on the piece of paper to edit the collection's title or description. Just below those two boxes is the option to choose a thumbnail to represent this collection. Pick the one you want and click Update.

You can do the same thing with the albums. While on the Manage tab, click on a collection - you will see the list of albums come up that are associated with that collection. Each of them have the same options on the right - Edit or Delete. Click Edit and choose the thumbnail for that album, then click Update.

As far as turning off an album or collection, I'm not sure that I myself would find that useful, but others might.
