I installed Plogger on a server account that is a multi-site setup, i.e., my main domain goes in the public_html folder, and the addon domains are directories within the public_html folder, with redirects so that they display as the normal domain name, not a subdomain.

The install went okay, I can see the thumbnails in the galleries, but the fullsize images will not load when I have "generate intermediate images" turned off. I tried dime's fix listed here to correct the extra '/' in the url, but still no go. I also tried the fix listed here, but the problem persists. The only way that I can get the fullsize images to display is to turn "generate intermediate images" back on again, which I don't want to do because I don't want duplicates of every image. I already resize them to the correct display size prior to uploading them, so I don't need to have an intermediate image generated.

Any other ideas on things that I can try to fix this issue?

    Thanks in advance!

Did you change something else in code?

No, I made no other changes than the ones that I listed. When the 2nd one (change SERVER_NAME to HTTP_HOST) did not work, I changed it back to the original code. The only change that remained was your fix for removing the extra '/' in the URL.

In checking further, I'm getting 403 errors, which explains why the fullsize image won't display when intermediate images is turned off. To test my server config, I made sure that Options -Indexes is turned off on both the primary domain and the addon domain where the gallery is located - in fact, I uploaded an empty .htaccess file to both the primary and addon domains to be sure there was nothing in there that would interfere and made sure that clean URLs is turned off in Plogger, and I still cannot get them to display. I also can't get the image to display when I put the URL to it in my browser and request it directly.

Is there something in Beta 3 that is triggering the 403 error when "generate intermediate images" is turned off?

Solution found! I put back my original .htaccess files for both the primary and addon domains, as I had rules in there that I need in place.

I went back into the admin panel for Plogger, turned off "generate intermediate images" and turned on "allow full picture access" and now the fullsize images display! I even turned clean URLs back on to test, and it's still working.

Seems that the problem lies in having full picture access enabled when generate intermediate images is turned off. Perhaps a note next to the option for generate intermediate images stating that full picture access must be enabled in order for this feature to work is in order so that more folks don't have this issue?
